The external casing of the ASSOS solar water heater is made from anodized aluminum, especially resistant to ultraviolet radiation, humid climate and coastal areas.
The innovative design of the jacket of the closed circuit of the ASSOS solar water heater (by Solarnet SA) guarantees its operation even in freezing weather and at the same time prevents the collector from the risk of being clogged by scale.
The strong polyurethane insulation 50 mm thick and high density 43 kg/m3 ensure more hot water for use even if external temperature drops to minus 3°C.
The metallic storage tank is 2.5 mm thick and is manufactured in accordance with DIN 4800-5, which results in twice the resistance of the tank under high network pressure, than most ordinary solar water heaters.

To the electric resistance of the ASSOS solar water heater may be fitted (on order) with an additional heating element which can be connected with the central heating system and can be activated on cloudy days, saving more money.
Most collectors, due to poor design, are not equipped with ventilation openings and, as a result, moisture forms in the interior (particularly in humid conditions) due to temperature difference resulting in the corrosion of the absorber. The profile of the ASSOS solar water heater has 4 vent-holes which are water protected preventing rainwater to penetrate, eliminating the risk of corrosion of the absorber inside the collector.
ASSOS solar collectors are manufactured from copper pipes and a titanium surface. They are autogenic welded with the ultrasonic method. This welding method (continuous welding seam) provides the collector with perfect heat transfer and durability in time.
The titanium surface of the ASSOS collector, in combination with the SOLAR TEMPERED GLASS with the special crystals, minimize the reflections of direct radiation and make the ASSOS collector the only high-performance collector.
The double insulation of 40 mm from rockwool and 20 mm from fibreglass placed on the sides ensure high performance and minimize the heat losses of the ASSOS collector.
ASSOS solar water heaters are equipped with a 4 mm safety glass (TEMPERED GLASS) for increased resistance to hail as well as for preventing any accidents, always in accordance with the strict international safety regulations.
The excellent external design of the system, in combination with the well designed supporting base and the side protective covers of the pipes, allow an easy and adjustable installation of the system on a tiled or any other type of roof, matching perfectly in any architectural building design.
The large cleaning Φ120 flange allows the easy replacement of the magnesium rod as well as the cleaning of the tank inside from any scale .
